Before commencing a 4+2 Psychology Registration Program with COPP, psychology graduate Ellyse thought the road ahead seemed overwhelming. With so many things to consider, Ellyse sought a supportive organisation with caring mentors and the ability to cover a broad range of topics. Here’s what she had to say:

“I learnt a great deal about many topics in psychology that my previous roles had not been able to offer. COPP offered a well-rounded framework which gave me the confidence to explore various options and decide which sector I most enjoyed”.

Now a Registered Psychologist working in school psychology, Ellyse reflects on her time with COPP as being incredibly useful, especially when it came to building her confidence and changing her workplace part-way through the program.

“The team at COPP were very supportive and they helped build my confidence to approach my current role.  When I realised that a particular work environment was not right for me, I was assured that my internship would continue,” she said.

“COPP took care of many things and through helpful supervision and workshops I was able to gain the confidence to transition from working with teens and adults to school-aged children and teens” she added.

Ellyse said that she would recommend COPP because there is so much expertise and support on offer.
